Shipping Protection T&C's

1. Overview

Pro Balloon Shop offers an optional Shipping Protection service (“Shipping Insurance”) at checkout.


This service allows customers to protect their parcels against loss, damage, or significant delay while in transit.

Shipping Protection is powered by Shipcheck, a trusted order protection tool integrated with our online store.


By selecting this option at checkout, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.


2. What Shipping Protection Covers

If you purchase Shipping Protection, you’ll be eligible for a replacement order or a full refund if your parcel is:

  • Lost in transit: The parcel is not delivered and confirmed lost, or 3+ business days delayed by the courier.

  • Damaged in transit: The item(s) arrive broken, crushed, punctured, or otherwise unusable.

  • Significantly delayed: The parcel has not arrived within 3 business days of the expected delivery date.

Once your claim is approved, you won’t need to wait for the courier’s investigation — we’ll issue your replacement or refund directly.


3. What’s Not Covered

Shipping Protection does not cover:

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses provided by the customer.

  • Packages marked “Delivered” by the courier but later reported missing (e.g. stolen after delivery).

  • Minor cosmetic packaging damage that does not affect the item’s function or usability.

  • Delays caused by customs checks, courier strikes, adverse weather, or incorrect address details.

  • Orders placed without Shipping Protection added at checkout.


4. How to Make a Claim

If you experience an issue with your delivery:

  1. Contact us at hello@proballoonshop.co.uk to report a claim.

  2. Provide your order number, a brief description of the issue, and photos (if applicable).

  3. Submit your claim within 7 calendar days of the delivery date or the date your parcel was due to arrive.

Approved claims are usually processed within 1-2 working days.


5. Outcomes of Approved Claims

If your claim is approved, you may choose:

  • A replacement of the same item(s), dispatched at no extra cost; or

  • A full refund (including the cost of Shipping Protection).

Refunds will be made to your original payment method. If items are out of stock we will contact you to offer alternatives.


6. Cost of Shipping Protection

  • The cost is automatically calculated at checkout based on your order total.

  • The fee appears as a separate line item (“Shipping Protection”) in your basket.

  • The fee is non-refundable once your order has shipped, unless a valid claim is approved.


7. Opting In

Shipping Protection is optional.
You may add or remove it at checkout before completing your order.

If you do not opt in, Pro Balloon Shop cannot accept liability for lost, delayed, or damaged parcels once they have been handed to the courier, except as required under UK consumer law.


8. Your Legal Rights

Shipping Protection is an optional add-on service and does not affect your statutory rights under UK law.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and your statutory rights, your statutory rights take precedence.


9. Limitation of Liability

Our maximum liability under this Shipping Protection service is limited to the original purchase price of the protected goods, including shipping and the protection fee (if applicable).

We do not accept responsibility for indirect or consequential loss arising from courier delays or damage once goods have been handed over to the courier, unless covered under an active Shipping Protection plan.
